Buy Now

So you want to buy your first skateboard.

Well. There is no such thing as a beginner board. So don’t look on Amazon. If you really want your kid to have the best shot at sticking with it you have to buy a LEGIT board.

My opinion: SOFT wheels are great for beginners. They are smoother and travel further per push, but they have to be the right size to avoid wheel bite.

Skateboards DO NOT come with soft wheels. You have to modify. It’s worth it.

BUY LOCAL OWNED

First, it would go against my Buy Local ideals to not as you to visit a local skate shop. They are the greatest asset to skateboarding in your communities. They know everything about skateboarding and don’t always agree with my opinion about wheels. YOU MUST ASK FOR SOFT (Filmer) WHEELS! Hard wheels will be fine.. really.. https://njskateshop.com/

MALL FOR CONVENIENCE

Zumiez at the mall is easy to get to. While it’s corporate, I really like the people that work there. They are helpful and easy to talk to. Jeff the manager is a very good dude. YOU STILL HAVE TO ASK FOR SOFT WHEELS!

ORDER ONLINE

If you want moderate cost and convenience, I recommend CCS. It’s just the easiest way to get what you are looking for. Size 8 is my personal favorite, just enough stability, can still do tricks.

YOU MUST CHANGE THE WHEELS!!!! : Go to https://shop.ccs.com/collections/skateboard-complete

Click the Change Wheels and look for 52 or 54 mm Soft wheels (as pictured)
